Journey Into past

Journey Into Past
Seat 106 Coach D4 – A journey into the past
I am a small scale writer, and suddenly got into the mood of writing a short article today. Armed with an iPhone 5C and Microsoft Office, drafting a quick write up has never been simpler! It can be completed anywhere, and even while sitting in a crowded train, as I am today. I was travelling from Ahmedabad to Surat in a 2ndsitting coach, which was full of travellers, both reserved and unreserved. I was lucky to get into the last seat number 106 of coach D4, from where I could get a glimpse of the entire compartment. There were lots of people, businessmen, housewives, grandparents and grandchildren, and everyone else in between. However, a large group of school students particularly caught my eye. All of them were in blue uniform, perhaps it was the dress code of a government school. There were about sixty of them, all in the age group of ten to twelve, a fun age to be. They were oblivious to the crowd around them and enjoying themselves. Boys were mischievous as usual, and girls were decent as usual. Some of them were playing antakshari, and some were pulling each other’s leg for fun. There were two accompanying teachers, one a lady and the other was a man. The lady teacher didn't sit for a single moment during the entire journey. She was continuously engaged with students in their enjoyment, hats off to her! The purpose of this small write up was to rekindle our childhood memories. We used to live it full of fun, just as the students in coach D4. We use to enjoy every moment of our childhood, whether it was our studies in schools or tuition classes, our exercises in PT class,  or our games on the school grounds. Those were the days of being good by nature and being enthusiastic in every activity. Those were the days of being human. Those days are never going to come back. If life gives me a second chance, I would like to live those days all over again. Looking back from the age of forty, we definitely regret that life is moving on at a very fast pace. Today is the age of technology, and all of us have infused technology into our veins as a way of life. Socializing is now a virtual reality, and it has its own pros and cons. Anyway, my train journey has come to an end, and so has this small write up. I dedicate this to all my school and tuition friends, known and unknown, those who hate me and love me, and to all my near and dear ones who have given me memories that I shall cherish for a lifetime.
